Habit of Grace, a private journal app: built with this method, checked by hundreds of automated tests, and live at habitofgrace.com (opens in a new tab).
Your own app on your phone in about three weeks: built by you, with Claude, and with me beside you for three 30-minute calls.
A good fit for one job you can say in a sentence, with your data on your own phone. Logins or shared data need a build; card payments and App Store apps aren’t offered.
For your team, a business build. For a tool only you use, the pilot or a small build.
You build it with Claude: the guide, the starter kit and three 30-minute calls. About three weeks. Plus Claude Pro, $20 a month.
One or two screens, with your data on your own phone. Two to three weeks.
Habit of Grace-sized: several screens, works offline, backups, and a website with a small database. No logins. Four to eight weeks.
A tool for your team: logins, shared data, and roles for staff and admins. Six to ten weeks, after a two-week scoping step.
A business build starts with a two-week scoping step, $2,500: a working prototype of the most important screen and a written scope, credited to the build if you go ahead. Every price is fixed in writing before the build starts. You pay half when you approve the scope, and half at launch or 14 days after handover, whichever comes first. Builds run on your own hosting, paid by you directly: Vercel Pro, about $20–$40 a month, and a domain, about $15 a year. Campaigns and political committees pay the same published prices and terms as every client.
Nothing you pick is stored or sent.
You do, from the first day: the app, its name, its accounts and the code written for it, in your GitHub and your Vercel. Code I wrote before your job stays mine, and you get a permanent, free right to use and change it. If we part ways, you keep everything built so far, plus two plain documents that let anyone carry on.
Tell me what the app is for and who will use it. If an app isn’t the answer, I’ll say so on the call.
